Independence High School Tournament

Defense wins ball games and high school basketball tournaments.  I am really happy with coming back over that very disappointing loss in the Cupertino tournament to Mountain View in which we played really poor defense and played three relatively strong defensive games to win this tournament.  We gave up only 84 points over three games to go 3-0 in the tournament.  If we continue to average holding teams  to less than 30 points a game, I like our chances to continue to win.

I was pleased to be consistent with my scoring 18, 17 and 12 and glad to be honored with an all-tourney selection.  Congrats to Griffin Goudreau our great shooting big who received the tournament MVP.  A rundown of the box scores taken from the Bellarmine Basketball Facebook page:
